Sana’a| Parliament warns against aligning with American efforts to threaten international navigation security
The Yemeni Parliament in Sana’a issued a warning on Sunday against “the consequences of aligning with recent American and British efforts to threaten international navigation security, militarize the Red Sea, and jeopardize the region’s security in service of the occupied Israeli entity.”
Sana’a – Al-Khabar Al-Yemeni:
The Speaker of Parliament Yahya Al-Rai refuted, in letters to the heads of parliaments of a number of countries, the joint statement issued by the American coalition as “misleading the public opinion and deceiving countries with a suspicious American role,” stressing that “the falsehoods and baseless allegations propagated by this coalition regarding threats to international navigation in the Red Sea are contrary to the truth.”
The message condemned the crime of targeting three boats belonging to the Sana’a Navy in Yemeni territorial waters, which resulted in “the martyrdom and loss of ten members of the Yemeni naval forces” following the American attack.
The Speaker of Parliament affirmed that “Sana’a’s commitment to the security and freedom of navigation in the Red Sea, Gulf of Aden, and the Bab Al-Mandeb Strait, excluding Israeli ships or those bound for the occupied Palestinian territories until crossings are opened and water, food, and medicine can enter the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.”
He emphasized the “right of the Yemeni and Arab people to support the Palestinian people, who are facing ethnic cleansing, genocide, and a complete blockade by the occupying Zionist entity with the support and endorsement of the US, Britain, and other European countries.” He wished for “the heads and members of parliaments to pressure their governments to withdraw from this aggressive coalition, as Yemen will not hesitate to respond to it.”
