Saudi Arabia warns of Red Sea ignition and prepares alternative options
Saudi Arabia has revealed on Sunday that the crisis in the Red Sea has reached its peak.

According to the Saudi Foreign Minister, as reported by CNN, the current tension could spiral out of control at any moment, considering that the cessation of war on Palestine and the opening of crossings are the only solutions to halt the escalation.
Faisal bin Farhan warned that if steps are not taken to stop the war and the siege on Palestine, the conflict could expand.
During his speech on the sidelines of the “Davos” conference, the same minister emphasized the connection between the Yemeni operations in the Red Sea and the developments in Palestinian territories.
Saudi warnings come amid escalating tensions in the Red Sea due to the ongoing American aggression on Yemeni cities and the mobilization for a large-scale battle in the Red Sea in an attempt to break the Yemeni blockade on Israel. This is rejected by Sana’a, which has continued its operations against ships associated with Israel since last November and stipulates stopping the aggression on Gaza and lifting the blockade.
Saudi warnings indicate the approaching decisive battle in the Red Sea, amid Riyadh’s concerns about the possible closure of its vital passages for oil exports.
In this context, Saudi military expert Ahmed Al-Fifi revealed that his country has started exploring alternative options for the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden.
Al-Fifi indicated in a tweet on his social media page that one of Saudi Arabia’s options for exporting oil is through the ports of Oman and the other through Egypt.
According to Saudi expert Suleiman Al-Oqeliy, Saudi concerns are not limited to the explosion of the situation in the Red Sea but extend to fears of a possible land escalation that could bring it back to square one.
Al-Oqeliy mentioned in a post on his official social media page that the efforts for a ground escalation in Yemen aim to complicate matters and thwart the settlement efforts in Yemen, indirectly blaming the US.
