The Director-General of the Government Media Office in the Gaza Strip, Ismail Al-Thawabteh, warned today, Sunday, of the repercussions of the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip and the prevention of humanitarian aid trucks from reaching the northern part of the Strip.

Al-Thawabteh revealed that the humanitarian situation in northern Gaza has surpassed the catastrophic stage due to the blockade imposed on the population of the Strip and the international community’s failure and inability to deliver aid.
He said in newspaper statements that Palestinian families in Gaza eat half a meal every two days, and residents in the northern areas can’t even find fodder to eat due to the genocidal war waged by the Israeli occupation on the Gaza Strip.
He confirmed that “some families receive only half a meal in 48 hours, and citizens in the northern Gaza Strip can’t even find fodder or grains.”
A United Nations report today stated that famine is knocking on the doors of northern Gaza as Palestinians are forced to use fodder in their food to survive.
The report also warned of the cessation of UNRWA’s humanitarian services, stating that amidst the humanitarian catastrophe experienced by the Strip due to the war, concerns are growing that UNRWA, the main humanitarian arm in Gaza, may soon be forced to suspend its services.
