The government media office in Gaza announced on Wednesday that the number of journalists killed in the Gaza Strip—which has been experiencing genocide for almost 70 days—had increased due to the aggression of the “Israeli” occupation entity.

The office stated in a statement that journalist Abdul Kareem Odah was martyred due to the Israeli occupation’s shelling of Gaza, raising the number of journalist and media martyrs to 86 male and female journalists since the beginning of the war on the Strip.
The Ministry of Health in Gaza reported an increase in the toll of martyrs as a result of the Israeli aggression to 18,205 and 49,645 wounded since October 7th. Reports indicate that this number is expected to rise as long as the aggression is ongoing on Gaza, as many victims remain under rubble and on the streets and are left bleeding to death because the occupation prevents ambulances from reaching the wounded.
