America revealed on Thursday the details of unprecedented confrontations in Yemen, following the announcement by Yemeni forces of targeting an American cargo ship attempting to cross the Bab Al-Mandeb Strait towards Israel.

In a statement, the US Central Command claimed the destruction of 10 drones and a number of ballistic missiles. Meanwhile, the American CNN channel quoted US defense officials as saying one of the US battleships was forced to use nearby air defense systems after ballistic missiles and drones approached it to an extent described as “dangerous.”
The official pointed out that this was the first time US battleships had to use these systems.
These statements reveal the scale of the clashes witnessed on the Yemeni coasts in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden in the past few hours, especially as they come hours after the announcement by Sana’a forces, through its spokesman, of targeting an American cargo ship “Kol.”
This new operation by Sana’a comes less than 12 hours after targeting the US battleship USS Gravely.
These new clashes are the second largest in scale since the beginning of the American-British aggression on Yemen at the beginning of last January.
The recent developments indicate a change in the confrontation strategy between Yemen and the foreign forces eager to break the Yemeni blockade on Israel.
